With the season opening on the Glorious 12th of August this is the highlight of the sporting calendar, the red grouse only found in Scotland and the North of England draws sportsmen from all around the world to see and shoot this magnificent bird. Due to its nature and diet it is impossible to rear in captivity making it one of the few purely wild birds to be shot in a driven situation. Using its weight and agility it can reach speeds of upto making it one of the most challenging birds to shoot and testing even experienced sportsmen. Being in a grouse but buried in the ground so that only the sportsman’s head and shoulders are apparent and having these fabulous birds driven toward you is one of the few game birds that brings a level of adrenaline to the sportsman only comparable to the moment they shot their first quarry. With some of the most fantastic views in the world and often organised in September the weather can often be glorious allowing for a fantastic day out on the hill with unforgettable moments.
We can organise days in Scotland and Northern England for single guns up to full lines of 8/9 guns, with days being between 60 brace and 150brace plus.
